Terms of Service

1. The Service

WINi (“Wine Intelligence”) is an AI-powered wine pairing assistant. You upload menu photos or describe dishes, and WINi suggests wine pairings. The service is provided by Digital Companion Oy (Business ID: 3607674-4), Espoo, Finland (“we”, “us”).

WINi is an informational service. We do not sell, serve, or deliver alcoholic beverages. Links to external retailers (Alko, Viinikellari, Vivino) are provided for your convenience and are subject to those retailers' own terms and conditions.

2. Eligibility & Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old to use WINi. By using this service, you confirm that you meet the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. In Finland, the legal age for purchasing mild alcoholic beverages (up to 22% ABV) is 18, and for strong alcoholic beverages (above 22% ABV) is 20.

WINi does not sell alcohol. Wine recommendations are for informational and educational purposes. Please enjoy alcohol responsibly.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time from Account settings.
• We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
• Use automated tools to mass-access the API.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

5. AI-Generated Content

Wine pairing recommendations are generated by AI and are for informational purposes only. WINi does not guarantee accuracy of tasting notes, food pairing suggestions, or wine availability. Always consult a sommelier or wine professional for important occasions.

AI recommendations do not constitute professional dietary, medical, or sommelier advice. If you have allergies or health concerns related to alcohol consumption, consult a medical professional.

6. Intellectual Property

The WINi name, logo, design, and software are the intellectual property of WINi. Content you upload (menu photos) remains yours. AI-generated pairing results are provided for your personal use. Wine data is attributed to its original sources.

7. Promoted Wines & Third-Party Links

The “Promoted Wines” section features wines editorially selected by WINi. These are not paid advertisements unless explicitly marked as “Sponsored”.

Links to external retailers (Alko, Viinikellari, Vivino) are provided for convenience. WINi is not responsible for the availability, pricing, or accuracy of information on third-party websites. Purchases are subject to those retailers' terms.

8. Payment & Subscriptions

Premium features may require a paid subscription via Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Refunds are handled per Stripe's policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

WINi is provided “as is” without warranties. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI recommendations, including but not limited to wine purchases, allergic reactions, or unsatisfactory dining experiences.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. Disputes will be resolved in Finnish courts.
