Terms of Service

WINi (“Wine Intelligence”) is an AI-powered wine-pairing assistant. You upload menu photos or describe dishes, and WINi suggests wine pairings.

WINi is an informational service only. We do not sell, serve, or deliver alcoholic beverages. Links to external retailers (e.g. Viinikellari, Vivino) are provided for your convenience and are governed by those retailers' own terms.

You must be at least 18 years old to use WINi. By using the service you confirm you meet the legal drinking age in your jurisdiction. In Finland, the age for purchasing mild alcoholic beverages (up to 22% ABV) is 18, and for strong beverages (over 22% ABV) is 20.

Wine recommendations are for informational and educational purposes. Please enjoy alcohol responsibly.

• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You may delete your account at any time from Account settings.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or offensive content.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service.
• Use automated tools to mass-access the service.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity.

You are interacting with an AI system, and pairing recommendations are generated by AI for informational purposes only. WINi does not guarantee the accuracy of tasting notes, pairing suggestions, or wine availability. For important occasions, consult a sommelier or wine professional.

AI recommendations are not professional dietary, medical, or sommelier advice. If you have allergies or health concerns related to alcohol, consult a medical professional.

The WINi name, logo, design, and software are the intellectual property of Digital Companion Oy. Content you upload (menu photos) remains yours. AI-generated pairing results are provided for your personal use. Wine data is attributed to its original sources.

Wines featured in WINi (including any “Promoted Wines” section) are chosen editorially. WINi is independent and recommendations are not influenced by payment. Should any placement ever be commercially sponsored, it will be clearly and conspicuously labelled as such.

WINi is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will publish the applicable terms and obtain your agreement before any charge.

The service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for decisions made based on AI recommendations, including wine purchases, allergic reactions, or dining experiences. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under mandatory Finnish law, including your statutory consumer rights.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the service or by email, and the “Last updated” date above will change. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, you may, as a consumer, refer it to the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi) after first contacting the Consumer Advisory Services. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform. Otherwise, disputes are resolved by the courts of Finland.
